Germany’s Atomwinter are back with a bang with their new album
‘Sakrileg’.
Traditionally sharpening their sound like a razor and setting the
vocals on fire, the death metallers from Göttingen erupt with their
new work without any scruples.
If you like real death metal, as if from the very core of Hell –
this is the album that will satisfy even your smallest whim.
After a five-year hiatus and with a new uncompromising vocalist
(Florian Bauer), the band returns stronger than ever, slamming the
door on stagnant energy and opening up to entirely new and even
more ferocious endeavors than before.
Forty minutes of explosive old-school death metal, which does not
lack here and there some very pleasant doom and black metal
nuances, are ready to dismember everything in its path.
Blatantly aggressive from every point of view, “Sakrileg” will
definitely be felt as one of those pure pieces of music that grabs
you completely and slips by, leaving you wanting more.
Grinding, distorted and brutal, the sound of Atomwinter’s new
carnage sadistically experiments with D-beats and blastbeats,
stalking furiously and slashing uncompromisingly with each
track.
The album is not lacking in surprises with more experimental
moments, with the core remaining intact all the time – old-school
death metal, obsessive and yearning for flesh torn apart.
Listen at your own risk.
