VII години отдаденост с пламъка на THE VOID

Quite symbolically, in the year of the Dragon, THE VOID turns the iconic VII Years!
Seven years in which THE VOID has become the most loved (and sometimes most hated), most discussed, influential, AUTHENTIC, emulated and inspiring place in the Balkans to read about black metal and other obsessive underground sounds – especially when it comes to the borders of Bulgaria (seems that I was definitely ahead of the time in the stagnant Bulgarian society, judging by a number of tantrums  and sabotage attempts).
This is where, for seven years, a large number of the most intelligent and authentic music fans read equally intelligent and authentically written reviews of dark and beautiful music, original and interesting materials, valuable and qualitatively presented news (of which 99.9% from the original source, and not found on Facebook or the BMP channel), listen to specially selected playlists and fully immerse in the world of the underground scene with all new and interesting titles that are carefully selected every day.
In the past year, audience activity has reached over 7.5 million visits, which exceeded all my expectations, to be honest…
I can’t help but feel grateful and happy with what my eyes see after so many years of effort, time, resources, passion and immense love.
In the past year, I also introduced a new option on the website – SOUL REDEEMER, which I sincerely adore and for whose warm reception I am really pleased (read more here).
A special highlight was the intense and inspiring November, in which I wrote 15 reviews within a total of three weeks – one review on each weekday. It was not only a beautiful experience for myself and the relationship with  music, it was not only a presentation of valuable titles, but something more came out beyond the essence (the music). I hope that along with the beautiful music and reviews, you have also grasped this message and the enlightenment has inspired you.
As the “mother” of this place, and as the main driving force around it, it is my responsibility to maintain the purity of the space and convey messages that stand behind the ideologies and goals of THE VOID, namely … the purity, the meaning of  individual strength, thoughts and dedication. Judging by everything that happened during the seven years of existence of the webzine, I definitely succeeded in this endeavor…

And on this beautiful day, I would like to share the following with you. I was never looking for popularity or tons of traffic. These things just happened over time quite subtly and naturally, and are simply a side effect of the waves created and the tons of good work. The goals here have always been clear, and first and foremost was and always will come the most authentic black metal music. So this is  my advice to anyone trying to follow a similar path: less ego and more dedication, be authentic, walk in your own lane. And if there is no lane… create it. It will be difficult, perhaps. You will certainly face the lowest manifestations of man at some point when success already knocks on your door, but … that’s the price you have to pay for your identity, if you understand me …

Thanks to everyone who reads and genuinely cares about the content here. Thank you to all my loyal partners – bands, agencies, event organizers and labels – with whom we opened in the very beginning and all those who joined my horde afterwards. To me, you are magic – the one that keeps the flame alive,  and I will always be grateful for every second spent with you in the name of music.

PS: I purposely did not put the logo on it. This act is a symbol of mind over matter, of the absence of sick ambition and ego in this sacred space.
