Mysticism, magic, occult arts, and ritual—these are not mere influences but the very lifeblood of ΑΧΕΡΟΝΤΑΣ. They form the essence of its image, the pulse of its sound, and the breath of its lyrical invocations.
ΑΧΕΡΟΝΤΑΣ stands as one of the foremost torchbearers of the second wave of Greek black metal, deeply rooted in the traditions of the original Hellenic scene while channeling the spirit of retro rock—particularly the arcane echoes of the ’70s. Yet beyond music, the Coven remains devoted to the path of esoteric philosophy, occult praxis, and spiritual transmutation.
Conjured into existence in 1996 by V.P. Adept, ΑΧΕΡΟΝΤΑΣ has remained unwavering in its sacred traditions, forging a legacy as a magickal coven dedicated to the ancient Sumerian mysteries of Drakonian Blood. The band’s doctrine embraces the echoes of primordial wisdom, manifesting through Astral Vampirism, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Dream Workings, and Luciferian Magic.

A ceremonial odyssey through the labyrinthine corridors of Death and Rebirth, this opus embodies the sacred rites of Dissolution and Ascension, invoking the wisdom of the ancients and the spectral echoes of forgotten aeons.
Each hymn within this work serves as an invocation, a key to unlocking the forgotten pathways of Necromantic Revelation. The Elder Keybearer rises once more, heralding the dissolution of ephemeral reality, while the Crimson Litany of Eternal Return chants the cycle of Destruction and Renewal, where blood becomes the offering upon the Altar of Cosmic Upheaval. The Chalice of Fiery Transmutation is raised, brimming with the essence of divine memory and the Sacred Alchemy of the Eternal Return.

VP.Adept shared:
“As foreseen, the Full Moon
and Lunar Eclipse have ushered in great upheavals within the
Coven—powerful, transformative, and ultimately fortuitous. With
this shift, a new chapter unfolds.
The new album is now complete, and within the week, the first
hymn shall be unveiled. Alongside it, key revelations will
follow—cover artwork, release date, and further details regarding
this forthcoming Opus.
Significant changes have also taken place within the Coven’s
lineup. R.C. of Hyl joins as guitarist, stepping in for Antinomian,
who, due to professional obligations, could not fully commit to the
path ahead. Likewise, Noktvrnal of Ad Omega now takes up the mantle
on bass, both in the studio and on stage.
After much time spent in communion, it became evident that
their mindset, philosophy, artistic vision, and devotion to Black
Metal align with the essence of the Coven. Their musical prowess
shall reinforce our ranks with even greater force. The lineup is
now fully formed, standing strong for both the forthcoming rituals
and the sanctum of the studio: V.P. Adept – Aetherist –
Atum – R.C. – Noktvrnal Veitha.The Black Flame rises unyielding… A
